Hailee Smith and Rhett Scroggs’s engagement session at the Dallas Arboretum and White Rock Lake was all kinds of romantic! Despite the January chill in the air, I had such a beautiful time documenting the couple’s cozy and intimate interactions with each other. Hailee and Rhett met after making the cast of their Greek houses’ song and dance show called “Follies” at the beginning of their freshman year at university. Rhett truly considered every detail when planning his proposal to Hailee! Under the impression that they were making a brief pit stop before a fun date night, Hailee walked into a room filled with rose petals and live piano music, while Rhett’s sister and professional photographer stood at the ready to capture the special moment! Rhett took her onto the balcony, got on one knee, and asked Hailee to marry him. Hailee joyfully accepted!

When they’re not studying, Hailee and Rhett love to watch their favorite TV shows, discover new recipes, and cook together. If they have time, they enjoy traveling and exploring new places together. This sweet couple will be tying the knot this fall on October 9, 2021, with all of their family and friends at the elegant and dreamy French Farmhouse, located just outside of Dallas, Texas. They have got an incredible team to help them bring their day to life.
